Rooted in the traditions of classical realism, Bae’s figurative and portraiture practice balances meticulous technical precision with profound spiritual resonance. She refined her classical foundation under the mentorship of master painter Harry Ahn, Grand Prize winner of the Portrait Society of America. Bae continues to expand her live portraiture practice through dynamic sessions facilitated by artist Robert Williams, drawing ongoing vital inspiration from her Michigan artist community.

Bae’s artistic practice is built upon a rich, narrative-driven foundation shaped by a diverse life across performance and music. Born in Florida and raised in South Korea, her early creative fire was enriched by mastering classical violin and traditional Korean Pansori. Her formative understanding of emotional depth and dramatic narrative was further refined through rigorous acting training at the MBC Academy Theater & Music Institute (Class of 2001), leading to featured acting roles on major national television networks and official soundtrack recordings for national children's broadcasting. This multidisciplinary background deeply informs the narrative atmosphere and expressive storytelling embedded within her visual art.

Bae’s trajectory took a profound turn when a spiritual vow redirected her towards rigorous academic and ministerial callings before returning to fine art. Demonstrating exceptional discipline, she earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, followed by a Master of Divinity (M.Div.). Currently a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) Candidate focusing on The Arts, Ministry, and Mission, Bae integrates the structural precision of pharmacy and the deep philosophical inquiry of theology into her creative process, viewing art as an ordained, sacred vocation.

Now based in Michigan—a location she recognizes as a preordained environment for her creative revival—Bae approaches the canvas not merely to depict form, but to illuminate dark paths with hope and divine light by capturing even unseen beauty. Her artwork stands as a harmonious synthesis of life experiences, intellectual rigor, and unwavering faith, ultimately dedicated to reflecting original beauty and restoring purpose to the human condition.
